PAINTINGS TO ORDER

Would you like an original painting made just for you? I paint large-format acrylics on canvas, portraits of people and pets, murals and illustrations – in my bold pop-art style, or tuned to your space and colours.

  • Pop-art acrylic portrait of a beagle named Dorotka on a red background with a meat-slice pattern

    Portraits

Portraits of people and pets painted from your photos – like Dorotka, Babeta or Hašiko. A personal gift that lasts.

  • The Hašiko painting on display in a living room

    Large paintings for interiors

Large-format acrylic paintings on canvas made for a specific wall – at home, in an office or in a business. Size and colours are tuned to the space.

  • Women's faces in grey, black and salmon pink with a pixel pattern and vertical lettering

    Murals

Painting directly on the wall – a one-of-a-kind piece for a room, a café or a shared space. Send me a photo of the wall and its size.

  • Book spread with an airship, aeroplanes and a hang glider above three boys on red backgrounds

    Illustration & digital projects

Book illustration like František a letadla, posters such as the one for the Karel Zeman Museum, digital art and visual projects.

How it works

  1. Send your idea

Fill in the form below: what you would like, the size or the wall, and where the painting will hang. Photos can follow by e-mail.

  2. Quote & sketch

I'll reply with a price and a timeline. For larger works we first agree on a sketch or a colour study.

  3. Painting

I paint the work by hand – acrylic on canvas, or directly on your wall.

  4. Handover

When the painting is finished, we arrange handover in person or delivery.

Frequently asked questions

How much does a commissioned painting cost?

It depends on the size, the technique and how detailed the work is. Send me your idea using the form and I'll prepare a quote with no obligation.

How long does it take?

It depends on the size of the work and my current schedule. We agree on the deadline before I start – if you need the painting by a certain date, for example as a gift, let me know straight away.

Can you paint a portrait from a photo?

Yes. Portraits of people and pets are painted from photos. The sharper and better lit they are, the better – ideally several shots from different angles.

Do you paint murals?

Yes – in homes, cafés and other spaces. Send me a photo of the wall, its dimensions and what you have in mind.

Can I buy one of the paintings from the portfolio?

Ask about the specific work in the form and I'll let you know whether it's still available.

Which languages do you speak?

English, Czech and Slovak.

Martina Hvojníková

ABOUT ME

I'm Martina Hvojníková, a pop-art painter and illustrator based in Prague. I specialise in large-format acrylic paintings on canvas – vibrant explosions of colour, emotion and social commentary.

I draw inspiration from the pop-art movement of the 1960s and complement it with a modern digital aesthetic. I layer highly pigmented acrylics to create a depth that photographs can hardly capture.

Besides canvases I paint on walls. I illustrated the children's book František a letadla and designed a commissioned poster for the Karel Zeman Museum in Prague.
